Kho Tao, Turtle Island, Chumporn province Thailand
Kho Tao, 'Turtle Island' is so called because of its shape. A small island covering only 8 1/2 square miles, it takes two hours to reach by express boat from Thong Sala on Kho Phangan, three to four hours by the regular ferry. Almost untouched by development, the island offers coral reefs make it ideal for scuba diving and snorkeling, and there are a few simple bungalow facilities, the majority on the western and southern coasts of the island.

Kho Pa Yam where a company produces cultured pearls. More hot spring; one of which produces 130 gallons of hot (158'F) water a minute as well as tin mines can be found as Hat Sompin, about an hour away from Ranong by car.
